It was one of the few nights that Amy felt she just had to get away. Get away from her roommates and the pressure of this school. The only way to do is was to get to the Astronomy Tower. Few knew how to get up there and the teachers never looked for the students up there. Amy climbed the flights of stairs to only come to a black door. She pushed it open and stepped out onto the room. The stars about were shining and sparkling in all there glory. The moon was only just beginning to appear form its previous new moon phase. Amy walked over to the window sill of the castle and sat down.
The busy grounds were filled with students that were going out for the night. Amy watched all of them as they laughed at the sounds of another's voice. Amy really did not have anything like that in her life. Granted, she did have a special group of friends, but she was not one for getting into trouble. She had pushed those feeling aside. She turned back to the door that led her up here. She thought she had heard it open, but it might have been the wind.
Amy looked to the skies. The stars seemed to have been reflecting her darken thoughts while in there splendor. She had no problem spotting her favorite star formations with in the Milky Way. There was O'Ryan's Belt and Gemini, her favorite birth zodiac. She looked around the night sky with her plain dark blue eyes. She turned around and looked towards the door again. She had felt the presence of another, but as soon as it came it was gone.
"Hello?" she asked, "Anyone there?"
No answer followed her response.
"I must be going out of my mind," she muttered. She shook her head and thought of a song. Amy was not much of a singer, but it was times like these that she didn't mind it. She was more of a writer than a singer, but still she did it. She was not part of the school choir. She didn't want to stand out to anyone or feel left out. Only certain people got the leads over and over again. Amy felt that was sort-of unfair.
Amy sighed and then her body tensed up again. There was someone around her. She could not really tell who it was, but than again, there were so many people in this school, it was hard to keep a list of people and their year and house.
"Who-ever is there, show yourself," she said.
